From East Anglia to East Lakes

11 Devonshire Street, in the Cumbrian market town of Penrith, has just been let jointly by Peill & Co of Cumbria and Bastin Commercial of Norwich to a regional accountancy firm as a new branch office.
The letting demonstrates the benefits of collaboration between two PAI member firms – the property is owned by East Anglia-based private clients of Bastin Commercial and, when the property became vacant, the firm was able to call upon their PAI partner for Cumbria, Lancashire and the Lake District, Peill & Co, to assist. Peill & Co actively marketed the offices, whilst Bastin Commercial retained the client contact.
Simon Adams, Managing Director of Peill & Co, commented “This deal demonstrates the strength of PAI as a commercial property network, connecting independent commercial property specialists throughout the country. We were able to provide the hands-on marketing of the property, together with local expertise in Cumbria, whilst Andrew retained the relationship with his long-standing client. Added to that, the solicitors for the client were Howes Percival in Norwich and we were able to provide a local input, being based within a short distance of Penrith, for any queries which were raised, so minimising any delays on the legals”.
Andrew Bastin of Bastin Commercial commented “The client has a number of commercial property investments throughout the UK, and the PAI network provides the ideal facility to secure quality local advice on a national scale. The close personal connections fostered through our PAI membership means that doing business ‘out-of-area’ is always a pleasure and enhance the quality of service we can provide to our clients”.
