National trade counter opens first Cumbrian depot

Acting on behalf of a pension fund client, Peill & Company has let Unit 1, Phoenix Court, Furness Business Park in Barrow in Furness to Toolstation, who are a division of the Travis Perkins Group. The depot, which extends to approximately 4,500 sq ft, is adjacent to an existing Screwfix and is on the premier business park in the town with representation from automotive, trade counter and business users. The unit, which opened on 26 September 2016, was previously occupied by a training company. Peill & Company acted for the client throughout the process including end of lease negotiations and schedule of dilapidations with the previous tenant handled by the building consultancy team, and with letting and management of the property completed by the agency and management departments respectively. The unit was let at £21,500 per annum on a new 6-year lease.
