New South Lakes Flower shop builds on Laurel and Hardy heritage

Peill & Company have acted on behalf of a private investor in the letting of a retail unit in Ulverston, South Cumbria, to a new flower shop which is now fitted out and trading as “Floral and Hardy”. Ulverston was the birthplace of Stan Laurel and hosts both a museum to the black and white movie stars and a famous statue in front of the Coronation Hall on County Square where numerous fans (known as the Sons of the Desert) have their photograph taken regularly. The letting of 5 Market Place was completed by Peill & Company within a matter of weeks of being instructed to market the property, despite other agents having units available for over a year. Simon Adams, Director of Peill & Company commented “we are delighted to have been able to secure a letting on behalf of our client within a short period of time and the tenant has done an excellent job of fitting out the shop which looks superb. This, coupled with the clever name of “Floral and Hardy” will hopefully bode well for the business in coming years and we wish them every success.
