19.11.2012
Sainsbury’s supermarket have now revised plans for their proposed store in Ulverston, and have now submitted a planning application for a 20,000 sq ft food store plus petrol station and car wash, 260 car parking spaces and new business units. The preferred site for Sainsbury’s is on the western edge of the town opposite the Daltongate Business Centre and has been favoured over the former Robinsons Brewery site in the town centre, or the Canal Head site on the eastern approach to the town close to the existing Booths supermarket. The application is due to be heard by South Lakeland District Council in the forthcoming months.
