Historic Kendal Listed Building Sold

Acting on behalf of the freeholder of Sand Aire House, Peill & Company, the PAI member for Cumbria, Lancashire, Lake District and southern Scotland, has sold the long leasehold interest in the former insurance hall at Sand Aire House to an owner occupier. The property, which has been vacant for a significant amount of time, comprises part of the original Sand Aire House and was constructed by Provincial Insurance as their insurance hall. The property was taken back by the freeholder and offered for sale through Peill & Company with a deal being agreed very quickly. Simon Adams of Peill & Company commented “we are delighted to have acted on behalf of our property investor client in securing a sale of over 6,000 sq ft of space in the centre of Kendal and we look forward to seeing the historic listed building being brought back into commercial use”.
