New offices in Barrow-in-Furness

The first letting of office space at Emlyn Hughes House in Barrow-in-Furness has recently completed and the first tenant takes occupation this month. Peill & Company have let the first floor of the prime office building to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) who will be creating new jobs in the building, and relocating staff from elsewhere in Cumbria to the new Barrow regional office. Emlyn Hughes House is in a prominent town centre location, adjacent to the Barrow Magistrates' Courts, and opposite the town's Central Station.

The first floor extends to approximately 325 sq m (3,500 sq ft) and the space has been let at £10.00 per sq ft, to include on site car parking. There is currently interest in the remaining space in the building, which has been developed by Barrow-in-Furness Borough Council, with the aid of funding from the European Union and the North West Regional Development Agency.
