Carlisle - New out of town store for Argos

Argos have agreed to take an assignment of the lease of the Allied Carpets unit on Kingstown Retail Park at Greymoorhill adjacent to Junction 44 of the M6 Motorway.  The unit, which has as open A1 consent satisfies a longstanding requirement from Argos for larger premises in the City.  Kingstown Retail Park has representation from Homebase, PC World, Comet and Currys.  The store will create 30 additional jobs for Argos in the city, and the city centre Lowther Street store will remain open. As part of the transaction, Peill and Company have also agreed terms to re-locate Allied Carpets into a new unit elsewhere in Carlisle.  Allied Carpets have temporarily taken a store on Scotland Road, just to the north of the City centre.
