Lancaster - Marketgate Shopping Centre

The Marketgate Shopping Centre in Lancaster, which links Penny Street with Market Street, and which has representation from occupiers such as HMV, New Look, WH Smith, Waterstones and an entrance into Marks & Spencer has recently changed hands, having been purchased by Allied Estate Property Trust. Peill & Company have been appointed as joint letting agents on the scheme with west end retail specialists Chase & Partners. The scheme, which comprises a total of around 125,000 sq ft of space plus the Lancaster Market Hall is to undergo asset management and there are a number of units within the scheme available to let.

Since we started marketing the scheme jointly with Chase & Partners, we have seen a good deal of interest from potential occupiers, and our clients are currently looking at enhancing the centre, to ensure it remains Lancaster’s dominant shopping centre”.
