Contractors are well underway with the re-development of the former BT Exchange on Cecil Street in Carlisle City Centre to create a mixed use development. The 35,000 sq ft building which was previously occupied as a BT Exchange and administrative offices has been partially pre-let to Travelodge. The hotel company will occupy part ground, second, third and fourth floors and create a 63-bedroomed hotel with café facilities on the ground floor. The remainder of the building is available to let as offices and it is proposed that there will be 2 ground floor A2/B1 units with first floor offices. In addition, there is secure basement storage.
